My art side.
Although my day to day work is centered on client projects in the digital world, I try to make time to create handmade art for myself. Personal work gives me space that bring me happiness, curiosity, and sometimes a good laugh (usually at myself).
My first client was my grandmother, Nan. When I was six-ish, she asked me to draw a cardinal, so I did. She proudly displayed it in her kitchen, and 40 years later my parents have it hanging in their family room.
In elementary school, I doodled during class when I should have been taking notes. I loved one point and two point perspective. It made me feel like I could create anything, from cities to sci-fi worlds. I was voted Most Artistic in both 8th grade and my senior year. I went to Edinboro University, where I earned a BFA in Media Arts. I also was an Adjunct Professor for several semesters in design & web classes.
